About the Project
The rear door panels and rear ¼ panels were all made from plywood and varnished before trimming. The stitch lines in the rear panel were all carefully measured and positioned to match and follow the lines on the door and rear ¼ panels as the original ones did not match.
Seat frames were rubbed down and re-painted and fitted with new suspension and foam mouldings. Separate head rests were made and the owner was planning to fit these to a roll bar which was not fitted at the time of trimming. The carpets were all bound in the same green hide used on the seat piping.
The front gear lever/radio casting was re-coloured to match the new hide used to trim the remainder of the car interior.
The car left our workshop without a hood; the owner had bought one which, unfortunately, did not fit and had to be sent back.
